What Has the World Come To?

Yesterday, several amazing feats were accomplished. You knew that several of them would happen, but you weren't sure who would do it or when. First of all, Usain Bolt broke his own world record in the one hundred meter dash with this race.

Bolt has been getting his six foot five body out of the starting blocks faster than ever.(Six five is apparently big in racing.) If Bolt is out of the blocks that fast and even with the other racers than they can forget about it. Larry Rawson analyzed the race on ESPN and figured that Bolt's forty meter dash is about 3.1 seconds which would easily beat Chris Johnson's record of 4.24.

I wasn't surprised that Bolt set another record. At the 2008 Olympics, Usain set the world record at 9.69 while showboating the last thirty meters. What separates Bolt from other sprinters are two facts. One, he's just plain and simply faster and better. Two, he has the rare ability to run the one hundred and two hundred meter.

Another thing that happened yesterday was something most people thought would happen. A person of Asian descent won the PGA Championship. It wasn't who most people thought though. Y.E. Yang beat Tiger Woods to win the PGA Championship. Everyone is saying that Tiger is done, but I think he's still the same. Nobody can win every single tournament. Just like in the MLB, NBA, and NHL, no one team wins every game. Damn you 1972 Dolphins and Don Shula.

Tiger Woods is just so good that people have begun to expect he can. He's still the best player on the planet, and even in outer space. That's right Tiger I've seen the commercial. He's still as dominant as ever and by the end of his career, he'll go down as the best golfer of all time with the most wins.

Also, the Yankees have been playing great lately. They're thirty games over .500, have the best record in the MLB, and have recently obtained a seven and a half game lead on the Red Sox. Even better is that Josh Hamilton and the Texas Rangers have taken a half a game lead in the wild card standings.
